Doug HaynesDouglas (Doug) Haynes is a well-known philanthropist, council advisor, and President. He spent much of his career advising great executives from public and private enterprises. Before he became an advisor, he worked as the President of one of the top equity hedge funds in the United States called Point72 Asset Management.

Doug Haynes Early Life and Education

Haynes studied Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from 1983 to 1987 at West Virginia University. He also studied MBA Business Administration from 1990 to 1992 at the University Of Virginia Darden School Of Business.

Doug Haynes Career

When Haynes finished school, he joined the Central Intelligence Agency as their software developer and design engineer. Later, he joined McKinsey and Company, using his abilities and constructing the firm’s practices with high Tech. During this time, he became a member of the company’s Connecticut, Atlanta, London, and New York offices.

He was the head of the whole Northeast Region, but as the saying goes, everything good must end. So, he retired from the firm after 22 years of service. In recent times Doug was the head of a company known as Point 72 Asset Management. While at this company for four he achieved great things, such as outperforming the competitive companies.

Doug Haynes is now the head of the Council Advisors, where he serves different needs of Enterprise Leaders. He is also an active philanthropist in causes such as poverty and support for veterans. Haynes is the initiator of Cohen Veteran’s Bioscience and Cohen Veteran’s Network organizations.

The Center for Global Enterprise was another thing that Haynes was able to create. The enterprise is a non-profitable enterprise aiming to promote efficient global business leadership. He is also among the Robin Hood Foundation board members in New York.

Doug has a wife who is called Laurie. His wife is the initiator of T2X Rehabilitation and Functional Mobility. Laurie also owns Fountain Inn Bed and Breakfast. The couple is blessed with five children, but all of them are adults. When asked about his most valuable principle, Doug says he works hard when the opportunity is there, for you never know what will happen.

He advises young members of society to have faith in what they are doing and to have fun while they can.
