Amy’s Kitchen Offers Vegetarian Meals with a Homecooked Taste

Amy’s KitchenFor the past couple of decades, a vast number of people have turned to vegan and vegetarian diets as a way of life. These days, people make permanent diet changes for many reasons. Yet, one common concern many vegans and vegetarians share is the lack of variety at the grocer. The other is likely the lack of flavor found in prepared vegan meals.

Although home cooks enjoy creating meatless or plant-based entrees, it’s different for those with busy schedules. This is why Amy’s Kitchen is a favorite with vegetarians who appreciate home-cooked taste. Their huge selection of frozen, shelf-stable, and snack foods has been a favorite to many for years.

Their recipes are inspired by cuisines from India, Italy, Mexico, and the United States. Varieties include dairy-free, gluten-free, low-calorie, organic, and reduced sodium. While most entrees and snacks are single-serving, Amy’s Kitchen also carries family-size meals. Frozen pizzas, bowls, and soups are popular products found at major grocery chains and specialty markets.

Where it All Started

Founded in 1987 by Rachel and Andy Berliner in Petaluma, California. Earlier that year, Andy was on the lookout for vegetarian food for his growing family. With the help of a few family members, this inspired the Berliners to create something that seemed like an outlier – healthy food that tasted good.

Amy’s KitchenLater in the year, the Berliners welcomed their daughter, Amy, into the world. Shortly after, they began experimenting with recipes in their home kitchen. It was the ultimate comfort food, a pot pie, that led them to believe they were on to something great. With the help of family, this began their foray into health food and they’ve remained a popular brand as diet trends came and went.

Since then, Amy’s Kitchen not only has a sustainable business but also a loyal following that appreciates flavorful dishes.
