Post-Pandemic Return to Work: Nick Millican Thoughts

Like the rest of the world, real estate investor Nick Millican notes that there needs to be a solid plan to reintegrate employees into the office space. After the pandemic, many companies decided to adopt a hybrid system where their staff works partly at the office and also remotely. 

 

Hybrid work has faced a couple of challenges, chiefly the shift in employees’ expectations at their workplace for a better company culture. According to Nick Millican, substandard quality office spaces greatly deter any company’s return-to-work efforts. In his opinion, employees have noted that they can remain effective in their work while working remotely. 

 

This realization has driven many to prefer working from home because it gives a better work-life balance. Consequently, employees have become unimpressed and less willing to work in low-quality office spaces.

 

So what is the solution, according to Nick Millican? 

 

As he sees it, the solution is to have city center offices created with innovative designs. Additionally, these spaces need to have the business and cultural vibe accompanying such offices. Generally, Nick Millican oppines that the companies that desire to maintain their work culture should promote;

 

 

This approach is better for regaining the pre-pandemic work culture, although not entirely as it was in 2019, Nick Millican finally adds. The benefits of this arrangement will also greatly help advance training levels of graduate employees who are currently lagging compared to their peers before the pandemic.
