We’ve all been exposed to information regarding climate change, marine pollution, and
rain-forest deforestation at some point in recent history. Regardless of your
position on these topics, the impact of a growing human population on this
planet is undeniable. Our global population continues to rise year after year
and the strain on natural resources can be felt across the globe. Without
thoughtful and direct intervention, the stability of our future is in danger.
The Colcom Foundation is
focused on promoting this message both locally and globally and is
leading the charge in finding immediate impactful solutions to the problem of
overpopulation.
The Colcom Foundation was founded by Cordelia S. May in 1996 on the understanding
that the delicate balance of nature must be protected, not exploited. Her
support and promotion of family planning and other population control efforts,
while controversial, were insightful for the time and continue to become more
evident as the primary path to restoring the balance of our natural world.
Today, the Colcom Foundation is a leader
in global efforts to reduce population growth. Through strategic use of mass
media and educational entertainment, the foundation aims to reduce unwanted
pregnancies and promote family planning. Locally, the Foundation is a strong
voice in the fight for immigration policy reform. An unbalanced immigration
policy, if left unchecked, will lead to overpopulation and continued
developmental expansion of urban areas. This urban expansion represents a
growing strain on resources and an accelerated ecological impact. As
immigration accounts for 88 percent of US population growth, this conversation
is key to stabilizing the ecological footprint of the United States and our
neighbors.
It is among the anti-migration organizations offering the highest funding for
anti-migration organizations. These include the Federation for American
Immigration Reform (FAIR), the American Border Patrol, the Center
for Immigration Studies (CIS), and Numbers USA.
The Colcom Foundation is a friend of our planet and will continue to use innovative
methods of engagement and education to spread the message of responsible
population management before it’s too late. Refer to this page for related
